- or more, there is no upper limit to this bid.
- With 5 cards may have as little as HCPC 3.

- 2H or 2S: Competive bids (could not make bid at
- one level) showing 5 card suit and a HCPC
- 10 or more.
- 1H or 1S: 4 card suit and HCPC 6.
- 2D over 1C: good 6 or near solid 5 card suit, HCPC 12.
- 2NT: Stoppers in all unbid suits and opponent's
- suit. HCPC 12-14.
- 2C over 1C (or 2D over 1D): 4 or more card support
- HCPC 8 or more.
- 1NT: Balanced distribution, HCPC 6-8.
- 2C over 1D: stopper (or long suit) in clubs, HCPC 6.
- unable to bid any of the above.
- 3C over 1C (or 3C over 3D) 5 or more card support
- and HCPC less than 8. Pre-emptive.
- 2Bid or 3Bid when used as jump bids in a new suit
- are pre-emptive, weak hands with long suit.
